Future Plans

Hi Girls!
Thank you all for coming out to the "chick-flick" this month.  I had a great time, and I think that our little group did too.  :)  Thank you Lori for buying our drinks!  What a nice surprise.

So, what's next?  I called the beauty college to ask them about facials.  You may be thinking that the beauty college is not the best place to go.  Let me tell you that the students there give excellent facials!  Dimmed lights, music, instructor supervision and a super low price make this the place to go.  $20 will get you a facial that will last about an hour.  Facials are offered from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, and they have four students available.  I will need to book this two weeks in advance, so please let me know if you are wanting to go.  I thought that after our facials we could walk over to Rosemary's for a big, messy, low calorie sundae.

What:   Facial
Where: Lyle's Beauty College
When:  September 18th, 2010 (10am-1pm)

Another item on our list is a trip to the Korean spa.  You do not want to miss this.  What a way to be pampered!  Soak in a tub of scalding hot water, get a massage/facial/body scrub and finish off the day with a delicious lunch at the Korean BBQ.  Ahhhhh.
The cost of the scub & massage is $70 plus tip.  Add lunch and a few bucks for gas for a total of $120+/-.

What: Day trip to Korea town
Where: Garden Grove, CA
When: Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 (8am-8pm)

Another item up for discussion is Once a Month Cooking.  This can be a real time saver around the holidays when we have unexpected company drop in.  This method of cooking also will save you money!
I know we have different tastes and methods for feeding our families, so I am open to doing a partial cooking plan.  We can do breakfasts, lunches, dinners or just desserts.
Let me know what you think.

Have a great day.
Love,
Cindy

Making Time

Hi Girls!

I don't know about you, but I am seriously lacking when it comes to doing "Big People Stuff" with my girlfriends.  I sat down with Josh a few weeks ago and told him that I thought it would make me a better person/wife/mom if I did some chick stuff with some special girls.  He thought it was a great idea!  So, I would like to invite you to join me as I plan a few activities for GIRL'S NIGHT OUT
Right now, I'm thinking this will be a monthly thing.  I'm kinda playin' it loose for now, so please bear with me as I get this thing up and running.
I have SO many ideas!  I would love to get your input as well.  My initial thought was to keep the cost very minimal.  I still like this idea.  The only problem is that all I can do with a $10 budget is a trip to the dollar theater and a manicure at the beauty college.  Don't laugh because that is actually one of the outings I have planned.
I'm going to get out the calendar and start looking at activities in our area, and I will be sure to give you guys plenty of notice as a few of our outings may take us out of Bakersfield.  Actually, a lot of them are out of Bakersfield.  : )
Don't feel obligated to do everything that I plan.  I don't want this to be a hardship on anyone, but I know we could all use some "girl time" now and then.
I'm looking forward to a great night/day out with you soon!

Love,
Cindy
